First Thursday Art Nights
FSAC's
regular exhibit openings will be on the first Thursday of each month,
from 5 to 7 p.m. Downtown Fort Smith offers many fine restaurants where
you can dine before or after visiting the galleries. Throw in some live
music at one of Garrison Avenue's hot spots afterwards, and you've got
a real evening!
Come experience Fort Smith's Downtown Arts & Culture District on First Thursday Art Nights.

Open Studio Days for Artists
Come
all and enjoy the company of your fellow artists, in the FSAC Studio
Building, on the first Saturday of the month. You do not have to be a
member of the Fort Smith Art Center to join in. The endeavor of this
Open Studio Day event is to get the artists involved and together. One
goal of the Fort Smith Art Center is to create more opportunities for
the art community, and we invite you to share in this new program.
Whether you are a professional artist, a beginner or you just love art,
you are invited. And you help decide what we do. Each time we meet we
will discuss what we want for the next meeting. Maybe we want to set up
a still life or hire a model to sit for us. Or maybe you just want to
come and do your own thing. Its up to you!

dates for the First Saturday meetings: January 5, February 2,
March 1, April 5, May 3 (The first FSAC Plein-Aire Competition & After-Party),
June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, October 4, November 1 (Our second
FSAC Plein-Aire Competion & Gala After-Party), December 6.
